| One of the main reasons to visit a Dude Ranch is for the fun activities that a western vacation provides. Harmel's Ranch Resort abounds in plentiful and exciting things to do from check-in time to check-out time. All of the activities we advertise are located right here on the ranch, not a motor trip away. |

Horseback Riding
After a restful night in the comfort of your cabin you are ready for a horseback ride into the high country. We offer beginner, intermediate, and advanced rides that go leave our stables three times per day. Our Junior Wrangler's program is always a hit with the kids (and adults too!) looking to learn more about the care of the horses. We do require kids to be at least seven years of age to ride and eight years old for the Junior Wrangelr's program.

Fly-Fishing
Harmel's has outstanding fishing! Estimated at 15 times Gold Medal standards, the Taylor River runs right through our camp and it's loaded with rainbows, cutthroat, browns, and brookies. In late May or early June of 2005 we will be adding over 200 trout to our stretch of the Taylor. We also offer lessons and guided trips. Our fly and tackle shop is located in our gift store. Rental equipment available. For the kids and beginners we have stocked the "kids pond". The river is catch and release only but, at the pond you may keep your catch. |

Whitewater Rafting
Whitewater rafting is a very popular adventure in Colorado. Let our cool Rocky Mountain waters cascade you down one of the prettiest river canyons anywhere. We offer level I-II that is perfect for most ages, and level III for the more adventurous folks. All trips begin at Harmel's and all of your gear is furnished. Professional guides assure you of having the time of your life!

Children's Program
For the young buckaroos, ages four through ten, we offer the Children's Program. The kids go hiking, do arts and crafts, swimming, board and card games, kids G rated movies on our big screen TV, and more. Our newly constructed "Fort Harmel" (pictured right) has gone over great with the youngsters. For children younger than four years, babysitting is available through the front desk. Please let us know at least 24 hours in advance to find a babysitter. |

Western Gourmet Dining
Food, to many, is a big deal. Scott Brown, our head chef for seven years, knows how to please a hungry family. Mondays and Thursdays are chuckwagon nights, Tuesdays and Saturdays are buffet nights, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays are menu nights. For those of our guests that would like a toddy before or after their meal, our bar is located in the restaurant. Check out our menu at the bottom of the Dining page.

Pool, Hot Tub, and Sauna
The outdoor heated swimming pool, six-man hot tub and sauna are just what the doctor ordered after a fun day of activities. We also offer therapeutic massage by appointment, including facials, manicures, and pedicures. See our Massage Therapy page. Take advantage of all that Harmel's has to offer. |

We are pleased to announce that we have remodeled and expanded our Rec. Lounge, now called the "Family Room", and the gift store. There will be plenty of room for bridge, chess, checkers tables. Designed with our guests in mind, our hopes are to get all of our guests together for great family fun. Pictured right. Hope to see you there! |
